Along the Patapsco at Ilchester

A new culvert at Ilchester, Md., conveying the flow of a stream under Ilchester Road and into the Patapsco River. The stream is probably Bonnie Branch, the name of a road that travels up the same steep-sided valley, but the name does not appear in the USGS NHD or on 7.5-minute series topographic maps. Likely constructed since the removal of Bloede Dam. Photo from March 2021, on one of the first days that felt like early spring.
